It's 1963 and Dr Beeching is busy closing down many of Britain's
less-travelled railway lines and less-used stations.
The staff of Hatley Station are worried that they might be 'next in line'
for closure.
Characters include Jack Skinner (Paul Shane), his wife May (Julia Deakin)
and his daughter Gloria (Lindsay Grimshaw), Ethel Schumann (Su Pollard),
Cecil Parkin (Jeffrey Holland), Harry Lambert (Stephen Lewis) and Vera
Plumtree (Barbara New).
